Investigating molecular and cellular mechanisms of synapse development and remodeling

Home: Welcome

Our research focuses on understanding how neuronal networks develop and maintain in the brain, with the goal of applying this knowledge to the development of therapeutics for neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative diseases. We utilize new molecular and imaging approaches in neuroscience and mouse genetics to conduct research on the molecular and cellular basis of neurologic diseases. In particular, we are interested in molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern the synapse formation and plasticity in the brain areas that play a critical role in learning, memory and development.
